The CFW500 series has built-in softPLC support for custom programming. This can often eliminate the need for an external PLC. Weg Weg DIB-C33 Surge Suppressor Plug-In for CWB Contactors
The Weg CWB Plug-in surge suppressors quench the high voltage spikes inherent in magnetic coils when power is applied or removed. These suppressors help increase the life-splan of relay and switch contacts and protect sensitive electronics which may be used to turn on the contactor. Strongly recommended for applications where the contactor is controlled by a PLC or other electronic means. Weg offers three types: RC-Circuit, Varistor, and Diode. RC circuit types are generally recommended for AC coils. Varistor types can be used for either AC or DC coils. Diode type suppressors are recommended for DC coils only, and polarity must be observed when using the diode plug-in. The Weg electronic relay is up to 87% more energy efficient compared to thermal overload relays, saving on both energy and cabinet ventilation demands. They also have a much larger settable current range as compared to the thermal overloads, thus reducing spare parts inventory. The entire current range from 0.4 to 820 amps is covered by just 4 RW-E products.This model features 2 extra control terminals, A3,A4, for optional remote reset.
