A History of Caldwell Electric℠

The original Caldwell Electric was founded in Waco, Texas in 1932 by Otto Caldwell Sr. He grew it into one of the most most successful motor shops in the country. Otto's son, Otto Caldwell Jr worked there for 25 years. In 1975, due to family differences,  Otto Jr. left and started Industrial Electric Repairs and Sales, Inc. The old Caldwell Electric went out of business in 1995.

Otto's son, Otto H Caldwell III (Hobie), joined the business in 2018 and together they have reclaimed the original family business name.  Industrial Electric Repairs and Sales, Inc. is now doing business as (dba) Caldwell Electric℠. 

Hobie Caldwell graduated from Texas A&M in 1988 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has over 25 years of experience in both public national defense and private sectors. He has also founded several small businesses.
